Today is a really exciting blog post. Today I interview Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone. I have been smitten with her since day one. She is the sweetest mama to five babies, just moved into an incredible old farmhouse, is debt free and retired her husband back in May 2018.

For months I was struggling to figure out how to blog by myself, refusing to spend any money on courses because I wanted to keep everything as cheap as I could, and then she RETIRED HER HUSBAND!

I knew at that point that I would do anything this woman told me to do and I would pay any amount to learn from her. Cue the slow clap! If you are getting into blogging this year, I highly recommend taking her course. The course is so well done and is the reason that I was finally able to set up my blog exactly how I wanted, saved me ridiculous headache in trying to google for answers and finding none. What Inspired You To Start Your Blog?

I had been learning so much as a new wife and mom, like sewing, baking, healthy cooking, etc and I wanted to share it with others.

Your husband quit his job this year, what has that been like?

It’s been amazing. We love doing life together, and I could never imagine going back. 

For anyone looking to start making money with their blog this year, what is three things that you believe should be invested in?

A DSLR camera, a good computer and video editing software. 

For anyone with limited time per day, where should they invest their time daily in order to make money with their blog?

Creating at least two good blog posts every week and promoting them on all the social platforms. Do this for a year without fail and you’ll be somewhere. 

You created a course called “create your dream blog”. Who is the course for and what will people learn?

It is for anyone who wants to create an online audience and make a little side income, or go full time with blogging. People will learn how to create a blog from scratch, make the right kind of content that gets noticed and build up a loyal online audience.

What are your plans for you and your blog this year?

This year my blog is going to revolve around fixing up our new farmhouse and homestead. I also will have my first book, Simple Farmhouse Life, published. I hope to launch another online course, all about growing an influence through online video, and a podcast.
